Users not receiving emails and/or loading up links from Canvas 2.0

If users are not receving emails sent/ not having links loading properly from the Milieu Canvas 2.0 system/ through your Milieu Canvas 2.0 email sender address, some whitelisting might be in order.

What is whitelisting?

Whitelisting allows the system to recognise a selected list of domains, email addresses, IP addresses, etc. for clearance and grants access to this permitted list for the facilitation of material sharing, etc.

Whitelisting domains/ emails/ IP addresses

If users/ eligible contacts are not receiving emails from your Canvas 2.0 account, there are a few steps to take to help get your emails to their inboxes/ the emails/ links load up properly on their end.

  • Request for their IT/Email team to add the respective email sending domain(s) to their allowlist. This will indicate to  their email server that it should expect to receive emails from any of these addresses containing the Milieu domain/ respective domain.

  • If they managed to receive the emails, opening and clicking them indicates to the inbox to trust emails coming from the respective addresses and email sending domain. This will help the system recognise over time the future occurences from these sources.

  • When it comes to emails, they could sometimes end up in the SPAM/ junk folder. Moving the received emails found in their SPAM/junk folder back to the inbox can help tell the inbox where to place future emails and overall, possibly improve the domain's sender reputation.
