On Analyse, you can perform significance testing for deeper analysis of your datasets.
Navigating To Analyse
- To navigate to Analyse from the main login page, select the hamburger icon ☰ and select Analyse from the dropdown list.
- In Analyse, drag and drop the desired variables from the left side panel into the table builder to get the desired data tables that you want.
- On the table builder, click on the 'Sig test ⚙' icon in the bar of options. (*Tip: Hover over the 'Sig test ⚙' icon to see the legend to significance testing.)
*Data shown for illustrative purposes only and not representative of any specific market.
Comparing Results Against A Single Column
- Clicking on the 'Sig Test' portion of the 'Sig test ⚙' icon will enable the significance testing against a single column. (*Note: The 'Overall' column is the default benchmark column that all other columns are compared against.)
- To change the benchmark column, click on the column name itself to select it. (*Tip: the selected column name would be higlighted in blue if you have successfully selected the column as the benchmark column)
- Once the sigficance testing is applied and there are signs of significance, cells of interest would be indicated by red/ green shading.
*Data shown for illustrative purposes only and not representative of any specific market.
Comparing Results Across Column
- Click on the '⚙' portion of the 'Sig test ⚙' icon to view the more specific settings for the signifance testing (learn more about significance testing here).
- In the pop-up menu, under 'Compare Mode', click on 'Compare across columns'.
- Click on 'Save' once you are done making changes.
- Once the sigficance testing is applied and there are signs of significance, cells of interest ate denoted by alphabets for reference and signficance reading would be denoted by the reference alphabets for the columns in question.
*Data shown for illustrative purposes only and not representative of any specific market.
Changing Confidence Levels
- Click on the '⚙' portion of the 'Sig test ⚙' icon to view the more specific settings for the signifance testing.
- In the pop-up menu, under 'Confidence level settings', you can select the confidence level (learn more about confidence level here; section 4) to apply on the sigficance testing. Confidence levels are available in 90%, 95% and99%.
- Click on 'Save' once you are done making changes.
