Disabling and Enabling Cloudfare Turnstile In Your Survey

In Studio, you have the ability to toggle on/off the Cloudfare Turnstile, that introduces an added bot detection security feature to your surveys.


Navigating to Studio

  • To navigate to Studio from the main login page, select the 'hamburger' icon (☰) and select Studio from the dropdown list. Under Studio, you would be able to view any surveys you have created and/or made available for you to access. 



  • In Studio, navigate to your existing study or create a new study.


Managing Cloudfare Turnstile for your survey


  • The toggle for the Cloudfare Turnstile is located in the Pipeline tab, under each pipeline's advance settings.

  • *Note: The Cloudfare Turnstile is ON by default and thus, your survey will have an added security measure for enhanced bot protection. On the respondent/ survey taker's end, they will see the below before the survey starts:

Steps to turn OFF the Cloudfare Turnstile:

  1. Navigate to the Studio module through the hamburger icon () on the top left of the browser screen - next to Milieu logo.
  2. In Studio view, go to Pipeline tab from the left sidebar.
  3. If starting a new pipeline/link, click on the '+ Add data pipeline' (blue button):
    • After filling in details of the pipeline, go to the 'Advance Settings' section and untick the 'Secure this survey with Cloudfare Turnstile' box.
    • Click 'Add' to add the pipeline with Cloudfare Turnstile OFF.
  4. If editing an existing pipeline, click on the Settings icon (⚙️) on the bottom right of each pipeline display:
    • Under the 'Advance Settings' section and untick the 'Secure this survey with Cloudfare Turnstile' box.
    • Click 'Update' to save your settings.
  5. If you previously disabled the Cloudflare Turnstile setting during the pipeline configuration, you may revisit Step 4 to re-enable it.
